I know, I know...I've been a really bad blogger! Life has just been so busy! I need more hours in the day, more day's in the week, more weeks in the months and more months in the year! Where does the time go! I just don't get it! Years seemed so freakin' long when were were kids, but as adults they just fly by! It needs to STOP!

What have I been up to..... Working my regular jobs, filling my Etsy orders, designing for Magistical Memories and as if that wasn't enough, starting a monthly paper crafting kit club! We are working on our June kit! It's a lot for FUN, but also a lot of work! This will be our 6th kit and we are finally finding our nitch! Our last 3 kits have SOLD OUT!! Yeah!

Oh, I'm also going to New York & Connecticut next week with my friend Crystle! I'm so FREAKIN' excited! Were going to visit family! I will be spending a week with my Godparents and then I will go to Connecticut for a few days to visit with Crystles family! I so can NOT wait! We are going to have a GREAT time!

You're gonna love this fun mixed up mini book! There are a total of 7 pages (all different shapes and sizes. The overall size of the book is 5" x 7". All of the pages can be flipped & mixed around to create a different book every time. Let your imagination run wild!

The pages are crystal clear. The blue you see in the photos is the protective covering on the pages to prevent scratching. Each page is professionally laser cut to perfection!

This book was originally designed by me and sold by Magistical Memories, a manufacturer of chipboard for scrapbooking. It is my original design and they have kindly let me use the design for this clear album!

Clear albums are all the rage right now and with my little mixed up twist on it you are sure to have a GREAT time creating your little masterpiece!The pages are quite flexible and not as fragile as acrylic.

The last photo shown is of the chipboard version of this book. It is just to show the design of the book and is not included in this listing.

I just love this little tree I got at Michael's! It's all made out of feathers! It's just so pretty! I just realized that I hadn't posted any Halloween photos! What a bad blogger I am! sorry.....

Anyway, Halloween was a lot of FUN! I just love dressing up! My costume was, well, think Mrs. Roper from Three's Company! Hee hee hee. I met Susy and Phil at their place and then we took the little ones trick or treating. Let me tell ya, those kids made out like bandits!! They got so much stuff and some of the houses were even giving out KING SIZE candy bar! We went to this one street in Toluca Lake that was AWESOME(for those of you that dont know the area, that where Bob Hope lived)! Every single house on the block was decorated! There was one house that even had a scene from Friday The 13th...It was AMAZING!

OPAAT Winter 07 DT Call
Our summer term is coming to an end and we are ready to start our winter term with some new talent! A HUGE thanks to our current members for being so fabulous with our kits!!

Requirements for Entry:

Submissions will be taken from September 28, 2007 through October 28, 2007. Winners will be notified no later than October 29, 2007 via email. Please include in your email: Name, address, country, phone number, link to your blog (if you have one) and any online galleries that display the scope of your work. International submissions are welcome. Please submit: 3 layouts, any size and 1 altered project to us.

Creative Team Requirements:
The Creative Team will be required to complete at least 2 Lo’s, 1 card or tag & the monthly kit project. Participation on our Message Boards and in our galleries is a must. Our members look to the Creative Team as mentors to help them better their craft.

Compensation:
Each One Page at a Time Creative Team member will receive a monthly kit chock full of the latest and greatest in scrapbooking goodies. Each month a “Featured Designer” will be chosen and their kit projects and photo will be featured on our homepage. As a bonus, the “Featured Designer” of the month will also receive that months Add-On Kit. In addition, all Creative Team members will receive a monthly discount from One Page at a Time.

Length of Term:

Wow, I can't believe I'm leaving on Tuesday for the Simply Southern Scrapbook Convention in Huntsville, Alabama! I'll be there with Magistical Memories and I will be working in the booth. I'm not going to be doing any scrappin' or taking any classes, but I just love meeting and hanging out with crazy scrapbookers like myself!!! The above LO was done with the NEW Fancy Nesting frames from Magistical Memories. They will be available in 2 sizes, regular and jumbo. The one used on the LO is the largest one form the regular size. Regular are 5", 4" & 3"....then jumbos are 8", 7" & 6". Be on the lookout for these in mid October. OPAAT May Kit LO

Last night was the 1st time I've scrapped in over a month! I really wanted to get a LO done with this kit, cause it's so stinkin' cute. I wish I could have done more, but that will have to wait till Saturday. I will be scrappin' with some of the girls at Ang's on Saturday. We will be celebrating my friend Margaritas birthday and NSD!

Our winter term is coming to an end and we are ready to start our summer term with some new talent!

Requirements for Entry:

Submissions:

Submissions will be taken from April 25, 2007 through May 25, 2007. Winners will be notified no later than May 25, 2007 via email.

Please include in your email: Name, address, country, phone number, link to your blog (if you have one) and any online galleries that display the scope of your work. International submissions are welcome.

Please submit: 3 layouts, any size and 1 altered project to: opaatsummerdt@gmail.com

Creative Team Requirements:

The Creative Team will be required to complete at least 2 Lo’s, 1 card or tag & the monthly kit project.

Participation on our Message Boards and in our galleries is a must. Our members look to the Creative Team as mentors to help them better their craft.

Compensation:

Each One Page at a Time Creative Team member will receive a monthly kit chock full of the latest and greatest in scrapbooking goodies. Each month a “Featured Designer” will be chosen and their kit projects and photo will be featured on our homepage. As a bonus, the “Featured Designer” of the month will also receive that months Add-On Kit. In addition, all Creative Team members will receive a monthly discount from One Page at a Time.

Length of Term:

This is a six month term and will begin with the June 2007 kit. You will be receiving this kit shortly after the Creative Team is announced.

Well, I finally got my hair cut! My friend Zsofie, who has been cutting my hair for the last 3 years moved. She lived in my apt building and she used to cut my hair at home. Well, when she moved she said I could call her on her cell when I needed a hair cut. I tried calling her a few months ago and her cell # was changed. So, I had no way of reaching her.

Well, my friend Margarita said I should user her hair dresser. Zsofie only charged me $40 and that was for whatever I need....cut, color, highlights... anything!! Well, Margarita's hair dresser charges $65 for just a haircut. So, I sucked it up and went to him. It's a really nice salon and I figures... Margarita's hair looks great, I'm sure hes a great hair dresser. Well, this guy refused to cut my hair!!! What a freakin' PUSSY!!! He was actually afraid to cut my hair!!! I particularly love the look on Margarita's face when he said he couldn't do it!!! It was priceless!!! She said to him "Your joking, right?" and he said "No, I don't feel comfortable doing her hair"! WTF!

I was jut sitting in the chair getting really pissed off! I took the morning off of work to get my hair done and this guy is refusing to cut my hair! he then started asking the other hair dressers if they wanted to do my hair. This guy is a piece of work I tell you. I hope he never lives this down, cause I'm sure all the other hair dressers were laughing inside.

Luckily Art came to my rescue!!! He wasn't scared!!! Hee hee hee.... He's Latin and has 3 sister with thick hair. He said he could cut my hair, no problem!! It was funny, cause every time I would look in the mirror, I could see the other guy looking to see how it was going. Oh, and I kept calling him a scaredy cat! It was quite funny.

Any way, Art did a GREAT job!

The Past Few Days.....

Sunday night my neighbor brought me a little surprise!!! A baby squirrel! He is just the CUTEST thing ever!!! Poor thing fell out of it's nest and she knew that the squirrels love to hang out on my patio and I always feed them. So, she brought it to me.

I found this awesome site that had tons of info on how to take care of the baby. I followed all of the instructions and I even tried to reunite the baby with it's mommy, but it didn't work. The mommy came down the tree once, but didn't come all the way down. Maybe she has too many babies and can't feed them all and she booted one out.

The lady that wrote the info I found on the net actually lives here in Los Angeles and she's a wild life rehabilitator. She said that if the mom didn't take it back that she would take it in. I'm so sad though!!! I don't want to give it to her, but I know I it's for the best.

Oasis All Day Crop!

Ok, I just have to say that I had the BEST time at Scrapbook Oasis yesterday!!! They put on a all day corop and I mean ALL DAY!!! It was from 10am till 2am!!! This was my first time cropping there. I go there alot to shop, but have never cropped there. I live in Los Angeles and Oasis is about an hour from me and that's with NO TRAFFIC!!! Anyway, it was only $15 to crop and that included dinner and a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!!! So much FUN!

I also have to say how AWESOME everone was that we met!!! Shout out to all you girls, YOU ROCK!!!

There were three of us at our table and there was one open space and as faite would have it Lai was by herself and she sat at our table!!! We couldn't have gotton along getter!!! We LOVE her!!!

Ok, I've posted once before that I started Nutrisystem and that I lost 4lbs!!! Well, now I'm happy to say that it's a total of 10lbs!!! Woo hoo!!! I'm so EXCITED! Now I just have to get my ass to the gym!!! I know that will make the weigh come off even faster!!! I'm hoping to lose another 20lbs by June!! I think that's pretty doable.

Some Recent Lo's

Got together with the girls to scrap, but didn't really get much done. I was so pumped to scrap after CHA, but I don't know what happened. I think my MOJO might have taken a vacation!! I want my MOJO back!!!

We also took a drive down to Scrapbook Oasis Saturday night. Mind you, the stores about a hour away, but always well worth the trip!! The drive down there was a BLAST!! There was some GREAT music on the radio and we were singing and dancing in the car the whole way there!!!

Wow, What a week!!!

Now I finally have some time to post!!!

Ok, CHA was a freakin' blast!!! Had a GREAT time!! Got there early Sunday morning and walked less than half the floor that day!! Were were just soooooo so TIRED from waking up early that morning!!! Everyone that we met was just super nice and we did a lot of GREAT make-n-takes! REALLY REALLY CUTE ONES!!!

Sunday evening we went to the 2Peas Ice cream Social!! That was cool! We got to meet a ton of the pub girls and Garden Girls... I talked to Tara Whitney for a while about HOT spots to shoot at and took some pics with her!!! She's too cool! I totally look like a munchkin in most of the pictures!! Everyone is so tall!!! We met Amy Butler and I swear, she was 2 feet taller that me!!! LOL!! The 2Peas get together was FUN!!!

My girl Margarita kept us up till 1:30am!!! It was just hysterical!!! We were laughing so hard and goofin' around, you'd a thought we were 15 years old!!! Too funny! Needless to say gettin' up the next morning wasn't fun!!!

After getting ready, we headed back over to the convention center again to finish off the rest of what we didn't see. I have to say once again, KI's Love Elsie was my FAVORITE and I think it was the best designed booth too!!! The new stamps are FANTASTIC and so inexpensive!!!! I just LOVE them!!!!! Next to that was the Sassafras Lass and the NEW Doodlebug Sugar Coated cardstock!!! OMG!!! It is AMAZING!! I mean really, really AMAZING!!!! Lots of GREAT stuff to see and I can already feel the money flying out of my bank account.

We headed home Monday night after the convention and got a GREAT nights sleep. We were exhausted!

The next morning (Tuesday) Ang & I decided to go back to the CHA convention and meet up with the ever so FOXY Christina Padilla!!! I'm so glad we did! That girl is just AWESOME!!! We hooked up after the convention closed and headed over to Scrapbook Oasis. We got there at about 6 o'clock and did a lil' shoppin'! I also meet Wendy Reed!!! Wendy was on the One Page at a Time DT and it was great to meet her IRL!

After Oasis we went to dinner at Outback. What a AWESOME night. Great friends, good food and tons of LAUGHS! After we finished dinner we had a little impromptu photo shoot outside, behind Joes Crab Shack. Too much fun!!

I'm a Loser!!!

Yea, that's right.... I'm a loser!!! Of 4lbs.!!!! I started changing my eating habits about 2 1/2 weeks ago and I started Nutrisystem about a week ago. I'm really, really happy with the Nutrisystem food! It tastes GREAT! There hasn't been one thing that I haven't liked so for. The dinners are really yummy! I'm planning to stay on the Nutrisystem plan for at least 2 months and see how it goes. Drinking all that water has been hard for me, but as the days go on it's getting a bit easier. I've become a peeing machine and I'm not talking about 2peas!!! Hee hee hee....

Nutrisystem... Yummy!

My Nutrisystem arrived today!!! WOW! I couldn't believe all the stuff in the box! It was so much fun to open!!! I ordered it through QVC last week. It was the TSV!!! Altogether with shipping is cost $177.00 for a 4 week supply of Breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks! The program that I am doing it the weekends off.

I wasn't going to start till tomorrow, but I needed to eat dinner and there wasn't anything else to eat, so I started tonight and I tried the Tender Beef with Veggies. As I was heating it up I was praying for it to taste good. Well, it was GREAT!!! I couldn't believe it!!

After dinner I decided to try one of the snacks. I chose the Chocolate Crunch Bar! It was soooo Yummy! I mean, really yummy! If everything else tastes as good as the two things I've had so far I'll be really happy!!!!

Long Time No Blog......

Thank you to all that have sent me emails inquiring about how I've been doing. It really makes a girl feel good to know that people care. I've just been really busy with the holidays some personal stuff and work.

Christmas was GREAT! I spent Christmas Eve with my best friend and her family! I feel so blessed to have Susy and her family in my life. It's an amazing feeling to have a friend that would do anything for you and you for her. Susy's mom & dad made an amazing dinner and I even got some leftovers to take home!!

After Christmas Eve with the Shearer's & Fernandez's I always head over to my parents house to spend the night. I don't know if I've ever mentioned it on my blog, but I have a younger sister that is mentally handicapped. She is only 2 years younger than me in age, but her mentality is probably about a 5 year old. So that being said, when I spend the night there for Christmas I always wake up on Christmas morning with my sister staring at me till I wake up. You know you can feel when someone is there looking at you...LOL! Well, she won't just wake me up...She'll sit in front of my face till I wake up!!! Hee hee hee.... I just love her... She gets so excited!

New Years Eve was also spent at Susy's house and again her parents cooked an AMAZING dinner!! It was a real mellow night, just a few close friends and family. We wore our PJ's and played board games and toasted in the new year TOGETHER!!!

Fast forward to now..... I made 1 new years resolution and that was to take care of ME! I made a doctors appointment for a complete physical, which I haven't had in a LONG time and I'm starting Nutrisystem. I'm really excited about this and my Foxy friend Paula is doing it too!!! Yeah for us!!! I like the fact that it's all measured out for me and I don't have to prepare anything. For me, it's not that I eat bad stuff.... It's that I don't eat breakfast, I have a late lunch and if I even eat dinner, it's usually way later that I should be eating! I know this will help me boost my metabolism. I'll let you all know how it's going!!!

Yesterday we had a birthday crop for Susy at the Memories store in Burbank! Not only was it her birthday, and we got to crop, but everything in the store was 40% off!! Well, lets just say I picked up a few things!!! Hee hee hee..... We had a GREAT time croppin' and I made some home made cupcakes for my girl for her birthday!!! Oh, and there's more to the cupcake story..... I don't usually do thing like this, but as I was getting ready to turn in to the parking lot at Memories and I realized something..... I forgot the DAMN cupcakes at home!!! Holy CRAP! I had to drive all the way home to get them and I don't live very close to the store!!! I had put them on the dinning room table when I was taking my scrap stuff to the car and forgot to go back to get them..... Argh......DUMB!!!

Lets see, what else is going on..... Oh, Susy, Ang, Margarita & I are going to a crop retreat with Karen Carter and a few other peas up in Big Bear!!! This was something I just could not pass up!!! It's not till May though.....But it's something to look forward to and believe me...I am!!!

So I guess all that is left is the LO's I've done..... Here are the ones I've done the past few weeks.

A Day @ Disneyland!

I just Love Disneyland! Well, who doesn't!!! It's the happiest place on earth!!! I went with my BESTEST friend Susy and he family. One of Susy's friends Teri, works for Disney and she got us in for FREE! How AMAZING is that!!! Thanks Teri!!!

That day was FANTASTIC!!! There were hardly any lines! I think the longest line we waited in was 15 min. Most of the rides we walked right on!!! We just lucked out with the crowds and the weather was perfect too!

One of my FAVORITE rides is Splash Mountain!!! Susy & Kaitlin didn't want to go on cause they were being BIG babies!!! They didn't want to get wet!! Wahhhhhh!! I was not going to Disneyland without going on Splash Mountain!!! I would have gone on my myself, but my little buddy Nathan wanted to go on too and then Phil decided to go!!! Yeah!!! And below is the AWESOME photo we got!! LOVE IT!

One of the funniest things we did was at the Star Tours gift shop!!! They have these pictures from Star Wars. Pictures that you can have your face added to. Well, they let us play around and do a bunch of them. We had no intention of buying them, but after we did them we were hysterical, so we ended up buying them!

Here's the one Susy & I did! I'm Blue and Susy is Princess Amidala. I crack up every time I look at this! We have a few more, but Susy hasn't scanned them yet.

OK, SUSHI is my ABSOLUTE favorite!! I think I could eat it every day!!! Damn, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!!! Last Wednesday Araxi, Marissa Susy & I had a girls night out and we went to my FAVORITE sushi restaurant, Cho Cho Sans. I've been going to this place for over 10 years now and i just LOVE it!!! Their prices are GREAT and to food is AMAZING!!!! Not only was the food GREAT, but hanging out with my GIRLS was even BETTER!!!! We don't get together often enough, so when we do all get together we sure make the BEST of it!!!

A Few months ago I took Susy to Cho Cho Sans for the 1st time and now she is totally hooked!! That makes me so happy that my BEST FRIEND is now also my sushi buddy!!! Hee hee hee.... Also Marissa & Araxi both love it too. Can't wait to go again with my GIRLS!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how hard this was!! Seriously! We had HUNDREDS of submissions!! So much amazing talent out there!!! Who know Singapore had so many AWESOME scrapbookers!! Here's your first peek at the One Page at a Time December kit! I was super tired last night, then I went to bed and I just could not sleep. So, I got my butt out of bend and decided to work on a LO for the new kit! This picture was from last year and I wanted to scrap it, but just never got around to it. I'm glad I waited, cause this kit was PERFECT with all the BLING!

The day started out GREAT! I met some of the girlies for lunch early this afternoon! We went to the Cheesecake Factory! Yummy!!!

Now to the OUCH!!! I had an MRI with contrast this afternoon!!! Let me tell you ...... that shit HURT!!! They had to give me an injection in the joint of my shoulder!! It was NOT fun let me tell you! This is a photo of my shoulder and that little black spot is the needle going in to it!!!

After that craziness was over, I headed to Costco to get my hands on the new Zune! I love this thing! I bought an Ipod and I really did not like it. I am so lovin' the Zune! It is just the coolest!!! You can share music & photos with other Zumers!!! If they are within 30 feet of you you can beam stuff from your Zune to theirs!! Oh, and it also has an FM tuner!

Mom for a Day!!!

Yup, that's right.... I was mom for a whole day!!! I took Kaitlyn & Nathan for the night! I had promised them a sleepover this past summer, but it just never happened. So last night was the night! Susy dropped them off at about 4:30 last night and that's when the FUN began!!! Hee hee hee.... Once they were here I asked them where they wanted to go for dinner? I told them they could choose any place they wanted and they chose Islands!! So at about 5 o'clock, it was off to Islands for dinner! We had a GREAT time at dinner and they finished EVERYTHING!!!

After dinner we stopped at the market so pick up some sprinkles, cause when we got home we were makin' COOKIES!!!! We got in and out of there pretty quick and it was back to my place. Once we got home we busted out the cookies and got right down to business! They were so excited and they did such a FANTASTIC job decorating them!!! Once the cookies were done we kicked back on the sofa and had some cookies and milk!!!

After we finished our cookies the kids got ready for bed. I told them both that they had to go potty before they went to bed, cause I didn't want anyone peeing in MY bed!!! LOL! Kaitlyn was fine, but Nathan didn't want to go, so I had to put in a little phone call to DADDY!!! After Nathan talked to his Dad he went potty and it was off to dreamland! I'd say they were out in about 20 minutes!!!

This morning we woke up bright and early! We kicked back on the sofa again for a little while and watch some cartoons! Then I made some breakfast and we got ready for the day! Once we were all ready the kids wanted to play outside for a while. they ran around, we played and I took some CUTE pictures of them!!!

At about 1:30 Phil & Susy came and picked us all up and we went out to lunch. After lunch they dropped me off at home and I took a nap!!! I didn't sleep very well on the sofa..... I was up most of the night! The damn cats were running all over the place and they kept waking me up!!! Argh.... Well, I'm gonna sleep well tonight!

What an AMAZING concert that was last night!!! We got to hear a BUNCH of NEW stuff and I can't wait till his new CD comes out. He was just too FREAKIN' cute! Below id a video I took. Sorry for the shaking, but it was better thatn nothing!

After the opening band StarSailer played we met my friends Araxi & her DH Nick in the lobby area. Starsailer was doing a siging and Araxi wanted to get them to sign her CD.

Wow!!! I just love seeing all the beautiful work that is being submitted for the OPAAT DT Search!!! This is the FUN & EASY part.... The hard part is going to be trying to narrow it down to only {4} people!!! Luckily I'm not the only one that has to choose!

I've been getting a lot of emails asking if we are taking international submissions and the answer is YES! OPAAT ships world wide, so our design team should reflect that too! In our current DT we have 2 international girls..... Katja from Australia and Kim from the UK.

Another question I've been asked a lot is..... What are you looking for in your DT? We want Fun, energetic & CREATIVE people on the DT. We are looking for lots of DIFFERENT style too. I know that when I look at some DT's I always say to myself....all this stuff looks alike, there's no diversity. So, that's why we are trying to strive for with our DT. We want neat & clean to fresh and funky!

OPAAT has some of the BEST kits out there. Were always trying to get the latest and greatest stuff and we will continue to do that. The NEW DT will start off with the Jan. 2007 kit and let me tell you.......That kit is gonna ROCKS!!!

That’s right…the time has come to add some fresh faces and talent to our Creative Team! Our current team has done an unbelievable job with our kits and we were thankful to have them on our team. Now it is time for OPAAT to kick off 2007 with some new ladies (or men) on our Creative Team.

Requirements for Entry:

Submissions:

Submissions will be taken from November 13, 2006 through November 28, 2006. Winners will be notified no later than November 29, 2006 via email.
Please include in your email: Name, address, country, phone number, link to your blog (if you have one) and any online galleries that display the scope of your work.

Please submit: 3 layouts, any size and 1 altered project to: opaatdtcall2007@gmail.com

Creative Team Requirements:

The Creative Team will be required to complete at least 2 Lo’s, 1 card or tag & the monthly kit project.

Participation on our Message Boards and in our galleries is a must. Our members look to the Creative Team as mentors to help them better their craft.

Compensation:

Each One Page at a Time Creative Team member will receive a monthly kit chock full of the latest and greatest in scrapbooking goodies. Each month a “Featured Designer” will be chosen and their kit projects and photo will be featured on our homepage. As a bonus, the “Featured Designer” of the month will also receive that months Add-On Kit. In addition, all Creative Team members will receive a monthly discount from One Page at a Time.

Length of Term:

This is a six month term and will begin with the January 2007 kit. You will be receiving this kit shortly after the Creative Team is announced.

Sweetpeas & Snapshots, Downtown Shoppin', Tacos & Turtles

Today was one of those last minute fun days! I called Ang and asked her is she wanted to hang out today. She said she couldn't hang all day cause she was going to a football game with her BF. So we were just gonna get together in the early afternoon and hang for a while. Well, about a half hour later she called me back and said she her roomie was gonna go with Scott to the game and we would have to watch her daughter. That was totally fine with me cause Julia is such a sweetie!!! So the three of us were off to spend the day doin' what girls do best....SHOPPING!!!! Yeah!!!

First we headed to Portos, a Cuban bakery/cafe and pigged out on some AMAZING food. Right after that we made our way over the hill to Sweetpeas & Snapshots! This store is so amazingly CUTE!!! I had recently got in contact with the ever so talented Suzi Finer and when I found out she was running that store, I had to get my butt over there and visit!!! I'm ever more excited that Suzi had joined out little group the Foxy Croppers!! She is SUPER Foxy!!!

After hanging out with Suzi and catching up for a bit we headed back in the opposite direction Downtown!!! Ang & I wanted to get some rhinestones from the wholesale district. Well, we found rhinestones GALORE!!! So many pretty colors!! Can't wait to use'em!!!

Well, when you're Downtown you have to have TACO right off the street from the street vendors!!! OMG!! Those were the BEST TACOS!!!!

Last but not least were the turtles!!! Julia has been wanting a little pet, so on our way Downtown we called her mom and asked if it was ok if Julia got a pet turtle.....she said YES!!! Yeah for Julia!! She was so excited!! She actually ended up with 2 for only $8!!! They even came in this cute little pink aquarium with pink rocks and a little tree!!!

I always have a BLAST at Gingers crops and this one was GREAT except for me being DEAD tired!!! The night before Ang & I drove out to Irvine to Scrapbook Oasis!!! Ang had heard that they got a BUNCH of new stuff in and we had to check it out!!! I love shopping there...The girls are just soooo sweet.

This picture below is of the radio in Ang's car...Yup, we left Scrapbook Oasis just after midnight!!! We were both hungry...actually I was starving, so we stopped at In-n-Out burger. I didn't get home till after 2am and I woke up at 6:40 to get my stuff ready for the crop!!! Hee hee hee. We had a GREAT time though....We were rockin' out to 80's music on Ang's XM Radio!!!

Hidden Journaling:

My friend, Sherri, is also my hero and inspiration. When we first met, 20 years ago, neither of us imagined the dreams we would share, the challenges we would overcome or the grief we would experience together. We just knew at the time that we “clicked”. We both loved shopping, especially at second-hand stores, and wewere deeply involved in church activities together. She admired my creativity and I was in awe of her voice. She sings like an angel. I often joke that when we get to heaven, I hope my mansion is next to hers so I can listen to her sing all day. I already had 3 children, but was blessed to share in the birth of Sherri’s 3 beautiful children.Our families often got together for a cookout and fellowship. We were happily zipping through life and raising our children when Sherribegan to notice that Blake, her oldest, was having some “problems”He was soon diagnosed with a rare degenerative disorder called A.L.D.Blake’s only chance was a bone marrow transplant, which he received on his 8th birthday. Blake was a valiant little fighter and pulled through, although he is profoundly disabled. Since the disease is hereditary, Sherriand her husband had the other 2 children tested and the results were positive. A.L.D. is not fatal to females, so Elizabeth, her middle child isa carrier, but Phillip, the youngest also needed a transplant. They decidedto give him that chance. Although he had not yet had any symptoms of the disease, it was his only chance for survival. Phillip came through with flying colors and was sent home after a few months. Several weeks later, he developed pneumonia and was taken to a children’s hospital in another state. We were with Phillip’s family when he went home to Jesus a few weeks later. He was 5 years old. Since then, we’ve walked through numerous other trials together, including numerous problems of my own and Sherri’s divorce. Now she is a single mom raising a teen-aged daughter and a disabled son. Blake is 18 and I’ve watched Sherri walk this walk for over 10 years now. I’ve never seen a woman go through the flames with more grace than Sherri. She took online classes and earned her degree in social work for the sole purpose of extending her hand to others. Her main focus in life remains her children. She is an amazing woman. Her faith has grown by leaps and bound where others with lesser character would have been crushed. She is not bitter or full of self pity. She is first on the scene when I need a word of encouragement or just someoneto listen. She is full of a wisdom that has only come at a great personalsacrifice. I am so honored and blessed to call Sherri “FRIEND”.

Well, I woke up at about 10:30 this morning and that because my Dad called me, otherwise I would have probably slept longer!!! I didn't get home till about 4 am this morning from Margaritas house. We had a GREAT day scrappin' together and we both go a lot done. So, it was a very productive day!! I have to say that this was probably the latest I've ever scrapped... The time just flew by!!
