My Paper Storage

The 1st 2 pictures are of the plastic crates from Staples. I bought three for $15 and then I bought the wheels for the bottom of the crates. I believe they were $5 for a pack of 4 wheels. I have all my paper separated in legal sized hanging file folders. This storage works perfect for me. The wheels make it easy for me to move it without having to pick it up. I like to have my paper next to my chair and If I have to get up I can easily move it cause of the wheels. If you want to to be stationary, you don't even need the wheels. When I bought these they came in 5 colors...Turquoise, Pink, Orange, Black & clear, which I what I went with.

For my cardstock I use those plastic stackable letter trays that come 6 to a box at Staples. I just turned them on their side so that the opening is in the front and I glued them together. I like that it's totally opened in the front and I can see all the colors easley.

I've had my paper several different ways over the years and I find this one the best and most inexpensive so far.

My BEST Friend!

It's been a while since I've done a LO of my friend Susy. I did this one last night.

Susy came in to my life two and a half years ago. We met at Michael's craft store. Susy was looking for an exacto knife and I overheard her talking to someone there and I told her that I knew where they were. She has said that she saw this cool exacto when she was at the Memories Expo. My reaction was "So you're a SCRAPBOOKER?!? Me too!" We chatted for a little while and she introduced me to her hubby and two beautiful children Kaitlin & Nathan, who were all with her that day at Michael's. I told her that I had just started a scrapbooking group and she should come crop with us. We exchanged email addresses and have been friends ever since! Susy has become like a sister to me. We do everything together...We even get Aunt Flow on the same day now! LOL!!! How funny is that! (I know...too much info)...LOL!

Susy is truly one of the nicest people....I hope she knows how much our friendship means to me. I couldn't fathom the thought of her not being in my life!!!

Susy...I love you with all my heart!

Yeah...I got my NEW Bed!

I've been wanting this bed for so long and now it's mine!!! I had to sell my old bed before I could by the new one, cause I had nowhere to store it. One of my Foxy friends, Wendy told me about this site called Craig's List! This site is FANTASTIC!!! I sold my bed in less than a week to this really nice guy. It was a Rustic Pine bed and he bought it for his new ranch he's building.....must be nice...Hee hee hee...He loved the bed and said it was just what he was looking for, so I'm happy it went to a nice person!!

So, back to the NEW bed!! Isn't it cute!!! It matches my wrought iron chairs perfectly!!! Tonight will be my 1st night sleeping in it! I washed all my bedding and it smells yummy!!!

They come in a multi pack of 20, 5 of each size for $5.95 and then additional packs of 10 in each size. The packs of 10 are $2.95. Each ribbon wrap measures 6in x 3in. for easy storage. They fit perfectly in the Art Bins Satchel and the Iris bins too. There's also a hole on each end so that you can carry them on a ring! The come in 4 sizes for the ribbon...1/2in., 3/4in., 1in. & 1 1/2in.

Is This Cute Or What!

Just had to share....Zoe is 8 months old now!!

What's That Sound?!?

Ok, so Ive been working all day today and I took a break for lunch. As I was sitting there in my living room I hear this tapping noise....Ok, whatever.....but it keeps going and stopping and going again. So I decided to go out on my patio and see where it's coming from...It sounds like it's coming from the tree....and there it is!! A WOODPECKER! I've never seen one in real life before. Well there not blue like Woody the Woodpecker! Hee hee heee....It's black with white specks and a red on the top of it's head. Too cute.....So, I ran and got my camera and was able to get this picture of it.

Green Day *update*

Hee hee hee...Capella & I just got back from the Green Day concert at the Home Depot Center!!! That concert ROCKED!!! We had the best tickets!!! We were right on the floor next to the stage!! Capella & I had a BLAST!!!

Billy Joe was a Nasty Boy!! But still totally cute!!

He brought some young kids on stage to spray the audience with water...You know that they were just havin' the time of their lives!!! Then they asked the audience who played the drums, bass and guitar and brought these guys up from the audience to play!! It was really cool...I was sooo excited for them!! Billy Joe actually let the kid keep that guitar!! How cool is that?!?

All Day Crop!

So, yesterday I went to a crop for a Cure. $15.00 of each registration fee went to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. It was a FANTASTIC day and lots of lovely ladies.

The Foxy Croppers were there to represent and we had a BLAST! I actually got 7 1/2 LO's done!! That's a record for me!!! I even preplanned pages!

No Longer A Mess!

Wow, you can finally see that my desk is actually white! Hee hee hee...I've been spending a little bit of time over the pase week cleaning and reorganizing my scrap room/office! There's a bed on the right side that i'm going to be getting rid of so that I can have more room and hopfully three people will be able to scrap in that space!!!

One More Day!!!

Woo hoo....One more day till Gingers fundraiser crop for the fight against breast cancer!!!

I'm so excited to have a whole day of scrapbooking. I have to say....This is the most organized I've ever been for a crop! I have my pictures ready and I even have 11 LO's sketched out. Tonight I will be picking out paper and I'm gonna be good to go!!! Lets see if all this planning pays off!!!

Green Day!

Hee hee hee...I'm so excited!!! I'm going to see Green Day on Sunday! Last night my friend Capella called and asked me if I wanted to go!!! It's at the Hope Depot Center in Carson CA! I've never been there and it's an outside venue! Should be a GREAT time!! Woo hoo!!!

Some Family Photos

I just love this picture of me and my Dad! It was taken at my 35th birthday party (9.01.05) and it's my new FAVORITE picture of the two of us. My parents don't share my love for photography and I usually hear..."Another Picture!" But When I get photos like this it's all worth it. :)

My Mom is the worst when it comes to taking pictures. She always talks when you want to take a picture of her and she ends up with her mouth all tweaked! I tell her "Just Smile", don't talk, just smile. Sometimes she actually listens to me and I get a picture like this one.

My Sister is notorious for always having her eyes closed! The only time I can get a good picture of her is if she's outside and laughing. She's really bad at faking a smiles.

More Than Scrapbooking October Kit

I just thought I'd share my design team submissions for the More Than Scrapbooking October kit. It's the "NEW" Scenic Route "Harvest" paper!! I just love this paper!! So warm and yummy. Really great colors for fall.

Susy took this picture of me a few weeks ago at Johnny Carson Park. We were playing around with her new lens. I really love these papers with this picture.

Next, I used some 2" squares for this fall card. Just a cute simple card.

Neil Diamond Concert!

Well earlier today I got a call from Araxi asking if I wanted to go to the Neil diamond concert!!! Araxi had 5 free tickets, so Araxi, Crystle, Susy, Susy's Mom & I hooked up at 7 o'clock and headed over to the Staples Center to see Neil Diamond Live and in Concert!!! LOL!!! We had the best time! Araxi & I were rockin' it out!! Ya know I love ya girl!!!

Hangin' in Beverly Hills

Yesterday Michelle, Alex & I headed over to Paper Source in Beverly Hills. This store has such great stuff for book making! They also have stamps, some scrapbooking stuff and tons of stationary and invitation stuff! The only thing I bought was some really nice bookboard! I could have dropped tons of money in this store, but I just didn't "need" anything, so all I spent was $5.00! I think that is the least I've ever spent in any kind of craft store!! It's a miracle!

We also had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory! Yummy! This is one of my most favorite restaurants! I had the Miso Salmon, which is FANTASTIC!!!!!

We told the waiter that it was Alex's birthday and he brought her a micro mini sundae!! LOL! It was literally one spoonful of ice cream!

After we left Cheesecake Factory we walked around Beverly Hills. We stopped at Tiffany's and did some window shopping.

Before we left we stopped at Sprinkles. It's a cupcake shop! Really cute, but not as good as I though it would be! especially for $3.25 each!!

Finally we took a nice ride home over Coldwater Canyon. We got back to my place at about 4 o'clock and turned on the news to find out that the fires have closed down the freeways and Alex and Michelle couldn't get home! The stayed at my place till about 7'oclock and then decided to brave the freeways, but didn't make it very far! They ended up meeting up with Michelle's hubby, who also couldn't make it home and had dinner. They eventually got home around 11:30pm! Yikes!

Bowling Anyone?

Yesterday was my friend Capella's son Michael's 6th birthday. She had it at the Pickwick Bowling Alley. It was so cute watching all the little ones bowl. It was also great hang out with my girls!!!

Saturday Night BBQ

What a GREAT day! Last Saturday morning we all went to the farmers market off of Fairfax and walked around for a while. Then my parents dropped me off at home to pick up my car. I relaxed a little while and then went over to my parents house where my Godfather was BBQing lamb chops!! I really don't like lamb, but those were sure good!!!

Vegas Baby

This month my Godparents (Ann & Ben) were here from NY for a visit! I hadent seen them for almost 3 years! Sept. 11th - 14th we went to Las Vegas! I had a really great time just hanging with my family! There was a little drama there, but not enough to spoil the trip!!

The day we got there (Sunday) was a lot of walking and eating!!! We went to the Paris hotel and had lunch at Mon Ami Gabi! It's one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas! I had a chicken & mushroom crape and escargot!!! Yup! I ate snails!! It was YUMMIE!!!

That night Ann and & went to see the Cirque Du Soleil "O"! Ann bought my a ticket for my birthday. She usually sends me money for my birthday, but she had called and asked if I'd like to go see that with her instead of the cash! She is soooo cute!! I just love her!!! Well, the show was just AMAZING!!! I've never seen anything like that! FANTASTIC!!! Now i want to see all the Cirque shows!!! It was like a total fantasy!! So beautiful! We had the best seats too...right smack dab in the middle of the stage....just perfect!

We got up bright and early every morning and went to Arizona Charlies fro breakfast. It's my parents favorite place to eat breakfast and it's soooo cheap!!!

I laid out by the pool for a few hours Monday and Tuesday by myself while the parental units gambled. I'm just not in to loosing money!! I had a really nice time and the pool at the Rio is just beautiful.

I have to say it was very tiring....We walked around quit a bit and my knee was not happy!

All in all it was a great trip and I had a wonderful time with my Godparents!

My Dad @ the Ethel M Factory Garden.

The Scrapbooking Funk

I really haven't scrapped a lot in the last 2 months!! I've been really busy dealing with the car problems, Family and work. I think about scrapping a lot.....I always have these ideas and then I get excited to scrap, but when It comes down to it I just can't get motivated! What's the deal?!? I think in the past 2 months I've done 1 LO and 3 cards! Argh....

Work Is Getting Better

OK, so finally the inspection work is picking up! I took on another Inspection company a few months ago and in the beginning it was really hard for me to juggle 3 different companies, but now it's all starting to flow now that I'm familiar with all the paperwork.

Well that sucked!

Well, the car ended up costing me $2200.00 to fix!! Ouch, that really sucked! Especially when you don't have the extra money and you have to put it on a credit card! Oh well, what can you do!?!? I own the car and I didn't want to buy a new car ad have car payments for another 5 years....Hopefully that's the worst of it!

Argh...Can A Girl Get A Break!

OK, The day started out really nice...I had a few inspections to get done and I figured that they were both in Malibu so I would take a drive down to the beach this morning and get those done. Got down there and it was a beautiful morning and the properties that I had to inspect were both AMAZING!!! One was a beautiful house and the other was the most FANTASTIC horse ranch with eight cottages.

Well, here's where it all goes to HELL......My friend Susy & I had planned to go out and shoot some photos with our new cameras and lenses to get ready for a 20 year reunion shoot we are doing on Saturday.....So, I'm driving to Susy's house and I just get ready to turn the corner on to the street where she lives and BLAM! My car just dies! It Just turns off...and of course today's a holiday and all the auto shops were closed!!! I have soooo much work to get done before I leave for Vegas and now my car has to go in to the shop...... AGAIN!! It was just in the shop a few weeks ago for 4 days!!! WTF!!!

So tomorrow Susy (my lifesaver) is going to pick me up at 8:30am and were going to take my car to get fixed!!! My Dad thinks it might be the timing belt! Like I really have $300 to spend on getting my car fixed right now!!!

Calgon....take me away.....
