1st Photography Class

Last night was the 1st night of our 13 week photography class.

So Susy & I are sitting in the car because it's pouring outside and the school is still locked. Susy's cell phone rings and when she answers is there's nothing on the other end and it says "call lost". Well, she knows it's her hubby, Phil cause of the caller ID, but she can't hear anything. Ok, so the phone rings 2 more times and she still can't hear anything!!! She tries calling him back and it goes straight to voice mail.....Weird... About 5 mins later she gets a call from her mom. All I hear on her end is "Oh no....OMG! Is he on his way to the hospital?"

Phil is a lighting designer and he donates his time once a year to the high school that he graduated from for their annual Pop Show. Well, yesterday he was loading the equipment back in to the truck while it was pouring rain and slipped on this metal cover on the sidewalk that houses underground electrical stuff or something like that. Well, because of the rain the metal was really slick and he fell really hard and he fractured his hand and his phone landed in the gutter and was floating in the water....That would be why the phone kept cutting out!! Argh...

So, the poor guy drove himself home to change his wet clothes from the rain and the fall all the while in excruciating pain!! Susy talked to him for a min. and he told her to stay and take the class. There was nothing she could do and he was going to probably have to sit in the hospital for about the same time as the class was and he was right (3hrs). He called Susy from the hospital about 5 min. before our class ended. She needed to drive the car home because he couldn't drive.

I drove Susy over to the hospital after the class so that she could drive Phil home. They put him in a temporary cast and loaded him up with pain killers. Oh, and of course it's his right hand and he's right handed!!! Also....He's a drummer and has a gig he's playing in 2 days.....

So, back to the photography class..... So far, so good.... It was the 1st class, so it was mostly questions and answers with a few other things thrown in there. Our 1st assignment is to take outdoor photographs of animals.

American Idol

I just love Katherine! I'm hoping she goes all the way! She is my one of my favorites and is definitely one of the best singers on the show.

Cute Cute & more Cute!!!! I'm lovin' Ace! Can't wait to hear him sing tonight! He's another one that will definitely make the top 12! Oh, he is just yummy!!!

OK, I really hope that this chick(Brenna) gets booted off the show tomorrow night!!! She just has too much attitude...It's really obnoxious! Does she not get it? People have to vote for her and with her attitude, who's gonna vote for her! It's so not cute! I just can't take much more of her.

Buca di Beppo & Howl at the Moon!

Last night we celebrated Phil's 36th birthday! Wow Phil, you're getting OLD! Oops, wait a minute...you're only 7 months older than me...That means I'm gettin' old too!!! Hee hee hee!

1st we went to Buca di beppo for dinner up at Universal city Walk. Yummy! Great food and partying with your friends...There ain't nothing better that that!

After dinner we headed over to Howl at the Moon! Now this place is FUN! It's a dueling piano bar and things get a little bit nasty at times!!!! They like to change the lyrics to some songs with an R rated twist!! They also have this guy and girl going around giving Tube Shots and Jello Shots, Well we had to get one for the birthday boy and his Susy, his wife!!!!!

They bring all the people that are there celebrating their birthday's and make them do the hoke poke on stage!!! Sooooo much fun! we have to go again soon!

OC Expo Report

I had a GREAT time hanging out with my Foxy friends, but overall the expo was very disappointing. Everyone was just trying to get rid of all their old crap! The only new stuff was the Rockin' new sei {paisley & petals & winnie s walls} and all the new Basic Grey!

I also attended the Friday night crop and was able to get 2 LO's done. Deciding to go to the crop was a last minute thing cause one of my friends ended up having a extra ticket. Again, had a great time with my friends, but some of the prizes they gave way...Yikes!!! A girl at the table next to ours won a plastic mug that had had a date on it from 2001! It was some promotional thing, but from 2001...come on!!

Ok...well, here's the LO's I did. I'm quite happy with them.

Thanks for visiting my bolg!

Finally Gettin' to Scrap!

Wow, I haven't sat down to really scrap with my FOXY girls in a while! I guess the Foxy Pajama Holiday Party was the last time!

Anyway, as usual I will be bringing everything that is not nailed down, cause I didn't preplan anything!! Oh well....The only part that sucks about that is having to carry all that crap to the car! It's a back breaker for sure!

It's going to be a lot of fun though. We'll be cropping at the Memories store in Burbank, CA. from 10am to 11pm! I love that we can rent the crop room out and have the store all to ourselves. The last time we cropped there was probably 2 years ago!!! Argh, where does the time go!?! It just seems to slip away.

Alrighty, off to lug my stuff down to the car!!!

Back From CHA and Finally Updating my Blog!!

So, we flew South West from Burbank CA. to Las Vegas, NV! I guess we forget that this is pretty much a party flight. It's only about a 40 min flight and all the yahoos fly South West Airlines. Well this flight was no different!!! We had quite a few rowdy people on out flight, but nothing quite like the foul mouth chick that was sitting near us! Every other word out of her mouth was "F" this and "F" that! I'm not saying I don't drop an "f" bomb every once in a while, but this trashy chick didn't seem to know any other word! Then she started giving the flight attendant a hard time! I guess she had a bottle of Vodka that she was getting out of her bag and the flight attendant told her to put it back in. Enough out her.....she was just NASTY!

After we checked in to our room at the Luxor we went down to the casino and gave the slot machines some of our money. Capella & I wanted to get our drink on and I bought us both a Surfer on Acid!!! It was Yummy!!! I don't normally drink, so one was quite enough for me!!

Up Bright and early to head over to the Las Vegas Convention, which it the largest convention center in the world!

I was the lucky winner of the entire Jan. die release form the Quickuts booth!!!

Tuesday night went with all the Foxes to the Rio buffet! Patric & Steve also joined us for dinner! I love these guys. They are the owners of the Scrappers Corner here in Northridge CA.

Wed. back to the convention! I think my FAVORITE booth had to be the Doodlebug booth! It was just too stinkin' cute!

Some of my celebrity scrapbook sightings!

After the convention we went to Benihana's for dinner.

After dinner it was back to the convention center. Susy, Crystle & I signed up for the Scrapbook Answers Fastest Crop in Vegas. It was a lot of fun, but a bit stressful! It was a competition type event that you had to do 4 different LO's that were timed and were different themes. You had 30 min for the 1st one, then 20 min, then 10 min and the last one was 5 min. Well, to make a long story short, I WON!!!! $200.00

And last, but not least at the airport I won $126.00 playing slots!!! I went to Vegas with $300 and came home with $326!!! Hee hee hee......
