Thanksgiving at the Shearer/Fernandez Houes

Well, since Thanksgiving dinner was canceled at the Rivera house since my mom was in the hospital for most of the day. After I left the hospital I called my BEST FIREND IN THE WHOLE WORLD, Susy and she told me to come right over!!! So, I headed over to the Shearer/Frenandez house.

Once I got there they were still painting their room. I grabbed paint brush and joined in. We painted for a few more hours till dinner was ready. I can't believe I didn't get any paint on my clothes!

The room looks really nice...They laid down hardwood floors and painted the room a mocha and olive green with white trim. It came out GREAT. I can't wait to see it with all their furniture in it.

We finally sat down to eat at about 7:00 and the food was fantastic!!

An Uninvited Guest...

This was our little uninvited Thanksgiving guest... It was such a cute little baby lizard. I went in to Susy's office to get another chair for the dinner table and when I turned the light on I saw this little guy running across the floor. At first I thought it was a snake cause it's tail was so freakin' long, but when I got a closer look it was just this cute little lizard. Nathan and Kaitlin both got a kick out of it. I'm glad Kaitlin isn't like her mom! Both the kids wanted to hold it, so we went outside and then each held it before we let it go.....

Liquid Thanksgiving!

Jones Thanksgiving Soda!
Ok, so I though it would be funny if we tried these for Thanksgiving....I bought these last week at target and took them over to Susy's. I told her DH, Phil that we were all gonna try these together. So, last night after Thanksgiving dinner we broke all five bottles opened and began the taste test.....Here's some of the reactions....

These have to be the nastiest things I have ever tasted!!! They have some CRAZY people working over there at the Jones Soda Company!!!

Thanksgiving Day Morning!

Well, I just spent the last 4 hours in the ER!!!! My mom was having this excruciating pain and spasms so my dad call me this morning at around 10:30 am to tell me he was taking her to the ER. I met them there and there I stayed for 4 hours!!

Well, my mom has Kidney Stones and I guess one of them is too big for her to pass, so she is going to be on meds till tomorrow and then she has to go back and they are going to use some kind of laser to break up the stone so she can pass it!!

Ay iy iy....I felt so bad for her...she was in sooooo much pain...I've never seen her like that before. When I left they had her in IV pain medication and she was feeling a lot better....She was just waiting to see the urologist the she could go home.....

Scrap Room Update...

Well, I finally got rid of the daybed that I had in my office/scrap room!!! Now I have two separate areas....One for work and the other for scrapbooking. I just needed to separate the two cause it was always a mess and when I needed to do my work my scrapbooking stuff was all over my desk. Yeah...It's all clean now!!!

So, on to my "SCORE" of the day!!! I got home and there was this cool shelf near the dumpster of the apartment next to mine. I thought that someone was painting it or something, cause it was natural wood. Then a few hours later I went down to check the mail and it was still there, but now it was pushed over between the two dumpsters. Well then I knew someone threw it away. Well that baby went right up to my office/scrap room!!! It was perfect!!! Just what I needed!!!

Choxie

Ok, so I went to TAGRET today cause I needed to get some viddles for my kitties. I see this Choxie (Chocolate with Moxie) all over the place. The packaging is just so cute, so KI! I went down the main isle for the candy to check it out. They have TONS of different things. Candy bars, truffles, chews, chocolate covered popcorn...All kinds of stuff...There's a whole isle of the stuff. I guess today (Nov. 6th) from 1pm to 6pm at all locations they are having free samples of the Choxie chocolate. I was there really early in the morning, so I didn't get the free sample, but they had a 3 pack of chocolate bars for $5 at the register, so i said what the hell....I'll try it. OMG!!! It is sooooo good! The pack that I got had a coffee toffee bar, a mint crisp bar and the (OMG unbelievable) peanut butter pretzel bar! If you like peanut butter you have to try this! It's AMAZING!!!

These would be great for holiday gifts too. This one to the left is Peppermint Marbled Crunch Thin. Hee hee hee...If nothing else the packaging ROCKS! You have to check it out the nest time you are at TARGET!

Havin' a Ball in the Fall Crop

Today was Ginger's Havin' a Ball in the Fall crop! It was a lot of fun as usual and the FOXES were there to represent!! Hee hee hee.... I really didn't plan any pages for the crop this time, but I still managed to get 5 LO's done! I'm really happy about that cause I was stressing that I wasn't gonna get much done. At the last crop I got 7 LO's done with a lot of planning, so I think I did pretty goo this time. I think my biggest problem lately is coming up with titles for my LO's.

Halloween!

We had the GREATEST time last night. Susy, Katie, the kids and I met up with Capella, Julie and their kids to go Trick or Treating at the mall. That was kinda beat! We found out when we got there that most of the places were out of candy! I guess they had an event there the day before Halloween....WHAT!?! Why would the do that...Kinda silly if ya ask me....Oh well, on to better things.....We left the mall and went around Julie's parents neighborhood with the kids. They hit the mother load there!!!

I just love this picture to the right of Susy and her Teen Titans, Raven & Robin

After trick or treating we stopped at Taco Bell to grab a bite to eat. Then we headed back to Susy's house to put the kids to bed. after they went down Susy & I headed to West Hollywood for the Halloween Carnival!!! Let me tell ya...it was CRAZY!!!! It took us forever to get down there cause of all the traffic, but when we finally got there the FREAKS we out in all their glory!!! We saw some of the most AMAZING costumes....Here's a few....

Here's the link to my Flickr......There's more pictures of West Hollywood there...Some of them were too risque to post here.
