2007 OPAAT DT!

I can't even begin to tell you how hard this was!! Seriously! We had HUNDREDS of submissions!! So much amazing talent out there!!! Who know Singapore had so many AWESOME scrapbookers!! Not me, but now I most certainly do!! BEATIFUL stuff from all around the WORLD!! We were supposed to only be picking {4} new ST members, well we just couldn't narrow it down, so we added {9]!!!!

Thank you all that submitted and we hope you come visit us on the message boards and share you AMAZING work in the gallery. OPAAT is such an AWESOME community and everyone on the boards is just so NICE!!!

December Kit

Here's your first peek at the One Page at a Time December kit! I was super tired last night, then I went to bed and I just could not sleep. So, I got my butt out of bend and decided to work on a LO for the new kit! This picture was from last year and I wanted to scrap it, but just never got around to it. I'm glad I waited, cause this kit was PERFECT with all the BLING!

Ouch to Oh Yeahhhhh.....

The day started out GREAT! I met some of the girlies for lunch early this afternoon! We went to the Cheesecake Factory! Yummy!!!

Now to the OUCH!!! I had an MRI with contrast this afternoon!!! Let me tell you ...... that shit HURT!!! They had to give me an injection in the joint of my shoulder!! It was NOT fun let me tell you! This is a photo of my shoulder and that little black spot is the needle going in to it!!!

After that craziness was over, I headed to Costco to get my hands on the new Zune! I love this thing! I bought an Ipod and I really did not like it. I am so lovin' the Zune! It is just the coolest!!! You can share music & photos with other Zumers!!! If they are within 30 feet of you you can beam stuff from your Zune to theirs!! Oh, and it also has an FM tuner!

Mom for a Day!!!

Yup, that's right.... I was mom for a whole day!!! I took Kaitlyn & Nathan for the night! I had promised them a sleepover this past summer, but it just never happened. So last night was the night! Susy dropped them off at about 4:30 last night and that's when the FUN began!!! Hee hee hee.... Once they were here I asked them where they wanted to go for dinner? I told them they could choose any place they wanted and they chose Islands!! So at about 5 o'clock, it was off to Islands for dinner! We had a GREAT time at dinner and they finished EVERYTHING!!!

After dinner we stopped at the market so pick up some sprinkles, cause when we got home we were makin' COOKIES!!!! We got in and out of there pretty quick and it was back to my place. Once we got home we busted out the cookies and got right down to business! They were so excited and they did such a FANTASTIC job decorating them!!! Once the cookies were done we kicked back on the sofa and had some cookies and milk!!!

After we finished our cookies the kids got ready for bed. I told them both that they had to go potty before they went to bed, cause I didn't want anyone peeing in MY bed!!! LOL! Kaitlyn was fine, but Nathan didn't want to go, so I had to put in a little phone call to DADDY!!! After Nathan talked to his Dad he went potty and it was off to dreamland! I'd say they were out in about 20 minutes!!!

This morning we woke up bright and early! We kicked back on the sofa again for a little while and watch some cartoons! Then I made some breakfast and we got ready for the day! Once we were all ready the kids wanted to play outside for a while. they ran around, we played and I took some CUTE pictures of them!!!

At about 1:30 Phil & Susy came and picked us all up and we went out to lunch. After lunch they dropped me off at home and I took a nap!!! I didn't sleep very well on the sofa..... I was up most of the night! The damn cats were running all over the place and they kept waking me up!!! Argh.... Well, I'm gonna sleep well tonight!

What an AMAZING concert that was last night!!! We got to hear a BUNCH of NEW stuff and I can't wait till his new CD comes out. He was just too FREAKIN' cute! Below id a video I took. Sorry for the shaking, but it was better thatn nothing!

After the opening band StarSailer played we met my friends Araxi & her DH Nick in the lobby area. Starsailer was doing a siging and Araxi wanted to get them to sign her CD.

The Submissions Are Rollin' In!! WOW!

Wow!!! I just love seeing all the beautiful work that is being submitted for the OPAAT DT Search!!! This is the FUN & EASY part.... The hard part is going to be trying to narrow it down to only {4} people!!! Luckily I'm not the only one that has to choose!

I've been getting a lot of emails asking if we are taking international submissions and the answer is YES! OPAAT ships world wide, so our design team should reflect that too! In our current DT we have 2 international girls..... Katja from Australia and Kim from the UK.

Another question I've been asked a lot is..... What are you looking for in your DT? We want Fun, energetic & CREATIVE people on the DT. We are looking for lots of DIFFERENT style too. I know that when I look at some DT's I always say to myself....all this stuff looks alike, there's no diversity. So, that's why we are trying to strive for with our DT. We want neat & clean to fresh and funky!

OPAAT has some of the BEST kits out there. Were always trying to get the latest and greatest stuff and we will continue to do that. The NEW DT will start off with the Jan. 2007 kit and let me tell you.......That kit is gonna ROCKS!!!

One Page at a Time is looking {4} YOU!!

That’s right…the time has come to add some fresh faces and talent to our Creative Team! Our current team has done an unbelievable job with our kits and we were thankful to have them on our team. Now it is time for OPAAT to kick off 2007 with some new ladies (or men) on our Creative Team.

Requirements for Entry:

Submissions:

Submissions will be taken from November 13, 2006 through November 28, 2006. Winners will be notified no later than November 29, 2006 via email.
Please include in your email: Name, address, country, phone number, link to your blog (if you have one) and any online galleries that display the scope of your work.

Please submit: 3 layouts, any size and 1 altered project to: opaatdtcall2007@gmail.com

Creative Team Requirements:

The Creative Team will be required to complete at least 2 Lo’s, 1 card or tag & the monthly kit project.

Participation on our Message Boards and in our galleries is a must. Our members look to the Creative Team as mentors to help them better their craft.

Compensation:

Each One Page at a Time Creative Team member will receive a monthly kit chock full of the latest and greatest in scrapbooking goodies. Each month a “Featured Designer” will be chosen and their kit projects and photo will be featured on our homepage. As a bonus, the “Featured Designer” of the month will also receive that months Add-On Kit. In addition, all Creative Team members will receive a monthly discount from One Page at a Time.

Length of Term:

This is a six month term and will begin with the January 2007 kit. You will be receiving this kit shortly after the Creative Team is announced.

Sweetpeas & Snapshots, Downtown Shoppin', Tacos & Turtles

Today was one of those last minute fun days! I called Ang and asked her is she wanted to hang out today. She said she couldn't hang all day cause she was going to a football game with her BF. So we were just gonna get together in the early afternoon and hang for a while. Well, about a half hour later she called me back and said she her roomie was gonna go with Scott to the game and we would have to watch her daughter. That was totally fine with me cause Julia is such a sweetie!!! So the three of us were off to spend the day doin' what girls do best....SHOPPING!!!! Yeah!!!

First we headed to Portos, a Cuban bakery/cafe and pigged out on some AMAZING food. Right after that we made our way over the hill to Sweetpeas & Snapshots! This store is so amazingly CUTE!!! I had recently got in contact with the ever so talented Suzi Finer and when I found out she was running that store, I had to get my butt over there and visit!!! I'm ever more excited that Suzi had joined out little group the Foxy Croppers!! She is SUPER Foxy!!!

After hanging out with Suzi and catching up for a bit we headed back in the opposite direction Downtown!!! Ang & I wanted to get some rhinestones from the wholesale district. Well, we found rhinestones GALORE!!! So many pretty colors!! Can't wait to use'em!!!

Well, when you're Downtown you have to have TACO right off the street from the street vendors!!! OMG!! Those were the BEST TACOS!!!!

Last but not least were the turtles!!! Julia has been wanting a little pet, so on our way Downtown we called her mom and asked if it was ok if Julia got a pet turtle.....she said YES!!! Yeah for Julia!! She was so excited!! She actually ended up with 2 for only $8!!! They even came in this cute little pink aquarium with pink rocks and a little tree!!!

LO's I did at the Ball in the Fall crop!

I always have a BLAST at Gingers crops and this one was GREAT except for me being DEAD tired!!! The night before Ang & I drove out to Irvine to Scrapbook Oasis!!! Ang had heard that they got a BUNCH of new stuff in and we had to check it out!!! I love shopping there...The girls are just soooo sweet.

This picture below is of the radio in Ang's car...Yup, we left Scrapbook Oasis just after midnight!!! We were both hungry...actually I was starving, so we stopped at In-n-Out burger. I didn't get home till after 2am and I woke up at 6:40 to get my stuff ready for the crop!!! Hee hee hee. We had a GREAT time though....We were rockin' out to 80's music on Ang's XM Radio!!!
